How a class works

Our Baby Nuoto course is much more than a simple introduction to the water: it's a journey that turns the water into a familiar, safe environment for your baby. From the very first classes, your little one learns to feel the water as a natural, fun element, and this stimulates their curiosity and the pleasure of exploring.

But that’s not all: it’s an experience that strengthens the bond with you. Forty minutes in the water together, with the staff guiding you.

What a class is like

Baby Nuoto
01

The class

The course is playful and educational. It lasts 40 minutes and a parent or companion comes into the water. The sessions are split into two age groups — up to 15 months and over 15 months — not by level: for the youngest the focus is on the parent-child relationship, while for the older ones playful group elements are introduced.

02

The benefits

  • Therapeutic effect: improved breathing capacity in the child
  • Qualified technical staff who coordinate the parents’ movements in the water
  • Psychological effect: fun, and the development of individuality, creativity, a sense of trust and independence
  • An experience of great closeness between child and parent
03

What’s included

  • Assistance in the moms’ locker room, with qualified staff
  • Locker rooms next to the pool deck, equipped with changing tables and playpens
  • Water temperature between 31.5 °C and 32 °C
  • You can change the companion from one class to the next
  • A panoramic balcony to watch the class from

Parents’ questions

What people ask us about Baby Nuoto

Yes: you book and pay for a single class, without a membership — that's how you try Baby Nuoto. The contractual joining fee of €50 one-time isn't paid on the single class: it's only paid when you activate the monthly membership. The Guest Pass Premium doesn't apply here: it's the trial for adult activities, and it has never included children's courses.
No: for Baby Nuoto no medical certificate or other certification is required.
By age. There are two groups — up to 15 months and over 15 months — and within each group the instructor adapts the activity to each child: there are no levels to pass and no sessions by ability. There are four morning sessions, the same on Saturday and Sunday — 9:30, 10:10, 10:50 and 11:30 — and which of the four is the one for your child’s age group you can see when booking in the app, in the Junior section, along with the spots left.
From 3 months of age. Baby Nuoto is for children born in 2024, 2025 and 2026; children born in 2023 or earlier move on to the Scuola Nuoto Bambini, which takes place in the water without the parent. What counts is the year of birth, not the months, and it isn’t a “from age 3” course: anyone who has already turned 3 or was born in 2023 or earlier does the Scuola Nuoto Bambini, not Baby Nuoto.
For the baby, a snug-fitting swimsuit — or a swim diaper — and for the adult, swimsuit and swim cap.
Only one per child. The adult can change from one class to the next, but not during the same class.
All the changing rooms have cubicles, changing tables and hair dryers. In the women's ones there's an attendant.
During Baby Nuoto the temperature is kept between 31.5 °C and 31.8 °C, warmer than the club's other pools: the large pool stays at 28 °C.
You can cancel up to one hour before the class starts: the product you bought is credited back to you — access to the class, not the amount — and at your next booking you aren't asked to buy it again. It's the same rule as for any single class at the club.
Yes, booking is always required: it guarantees everyone a spot, in a pool with controlled numbers. With the monthly plan you can book as many classes as you like, with no limits.
Classes are paid online with a payment card, debit or credit card. For the monthly plan you can choose between a payment card and direct debit from your bank account: cash, bank transfers and regional vouchers are not accepted.
