Adult Contract Cancellation
How to cancel your adult membership from the app: Memberships, Manage membership, Cancel. 10 days' notice, and what differs between Flex, Formula 12 and Annuale.
Chat with usThis is cancellation, meaning closing the membership. If you just want to stop for a month and then pick up again, that’s a freeze: the frozen time isn’t lost and the expiry date moves forward.
How it works
- Open the app (or app.athlonroma.it) and go to Memberships, on the Home screen.
- Tap your membership.
- Choose Manage membership, then Cancel.
- Follow the steps and confirm.
Before you confirm, the app tells you when the membership ends, which installments are still due and what the last possible day to cancel is. It also asks for the reason, but that’s optional. You don’t have to work out the date yourself.
⚠️ If you cancel and then join again, you pay the joining fee again and the conditions in force at that time apply.
🚫 With overdue payments you can’t cancel: they must be paid first. The app doesn’t allow cancellation while there are overdue payments to settle. You pay them from Payments → Due, and then cancellation is available again: what to do.
💡 You can cancel early. There’s no need to wait until the last possible moment: the cancellation takes effect at the natural end of the contract in any case.
The notice period
The deadline is always the same: 10 days before renewal, with no exceptions. A late cancellation can’t be made from the app: the membership renews according to your plan (for the Annuale, another 12 months) and the cancellation applies to the following expiry date.
If your membership renews on day 1 of the month, like the Mensile Flex, this table tells you the last possible day:

What changes between contract types
Mensile – Flex
Cancel from the app as above. The membership ends at the end of the month, on the date the app shows you, and you can use it until then.
Monthly – Formula 12
Same procedure as the Flex.
The cancellation takes effect only after the end of the annual commitment of 12 months. If you cancel earlier, the contract stays active until its natural end.
Annuale – Soluzione Unica or Rateizzato
Cancel from the app as above: you turn off auto-renewal and the contract ends at its natural expiry date.
If you’ve passed the 10-day deadline, the app doesn’t allow cancellation: the contract renews according to your plan (another 12 months) and the cancellation applies to the following expiry date.

If you activated the membership after the start of the month, the minimum term includes the pro rata plus one full month: that monthly fee is still due even with a correctly submitted cancellation. It’s the number one cause of disputes after cancellation: pro rata and minimum term.
How do I check that my cancellation has been registered
Open your membership in Memberships: you should see the renewal canceled, or Ends on… with the end date. The date is in the future, and that’s correct: you can use the membership until that day. All the checks.
