Membership freeze: Scuola Nuoto and Competitive Swimming
How the freeze works for children's pool courses in case of certified unfitness; a credit is issued.

⚠️ This is not the adults’ procedure. For Adult memberships and for Baby Nuoto a different rule applies — there is a paid freeze at €15 a month, and the one for inability shifts the contract’s end date: it’s in the Freeze Procedure. The two look alike and do not match on any point that matters.
The two differences that matter

How to request it
In case of illness or injury with documented unfitness for at least 60 consecutive days:
- Get a medical certificate from a public or private facility — it must clearly state the unfitness for sports and the end date of the period
- Send it to desk@athlonroma.it with the freeze request
- Wait for confirmation by email
The freeze can only be granted starting from the date the documentation is received, not from the date of the certificate nor from the day the absence began.
The credit, and its limits
- During the freeze the monthly payment remains due
- The compensation is a credit equal to at least 2 monthly fees paid
- The credit must be used within 6 months of the end of the course
- It is not transferable to another person
⚠️ The freeze is an alternative to making up classes (point 4.7): the two cannot be combined. If the absence is a few classes and not two months, the right route is make-up classes, not this.

Under 60 days
There is no freeze: the unfitness must be documented for at least 60 consecutive days. For a shorter absence you use make-up classes, which you book yourself in the app, in the Junior section.

If the course is canceled
If the contract is canceled, accrued make-up classes are lost, and the credit is not transferable: these are two different ways of saying the same thing, namely that both exist only within an active membership. The cancellation conditions are on the dedicated page.
