Medical Certificate
When you need a medical certificate, who can issue it and how to hand it in: it can only be uploaded in the app, in Home → Certificate, and no longer by email.
Chat with usWithin 14 days of starting the activity you must hand in a copy of the Certificate of Fitness for NON-COMPETITIVE Sports Activity. We no longer accept paper copies.
How to hand it in: from the app
- Open the Home screen and tap Certificate (if the certificate is missing or expired, there’s a notice at the top of the Home screen with a button that takes you there)
- Choose who you’re uploading it for, if there’s more than one person in your family
- Tap Upload certificate and choose a photo (take one or pick it from your gallery) or a PDF: one file only, JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 8 MB. Tap the “i” to see which certificate is needed
- Tap Send the certificate
After you send it, the section says “We’re checking it”: the front desk checks the document and enters the dates. As soon as it’s approved you see it as valid in Certificate; if something isn’t right you receive the reason by email, and you also find it written in the section, with the option to upload a new one. While it’s “under review” there’s no need to upload it again.
The certificate is uploaded only from the app: it’s no longer sent by email, or as an attachment to a message for the team. If the app gives you an error while you’re uploading it, write to the team from the virtual assistant (top right) saying what’s happening: they’ll help you upload it, still from the app.
The original stays yours, we keep the digital copy
We collect certificates only in digital form: what you send us is a copy, and the original always stays with you. We never take the paper copy.
We keep the copy we receive, and that’s a legal requirement — not the club’s choice. It isn’t deleted after it’s checked.
⚠️ Documents, in the app, holds contracts and payment receipts: medical certificates aren’t there, and there’s no copy to download. What the app shows is the expiry date, in Home → Certificate.
“I can’t find my certificate”
These are two different questions, with two different answers. Before answering you need to understand which of the two it is:
- You can’t find the expiry date, meaning you want to know how long you’re covered for, or whether what you sent arrived. You find it in Home → Certificate. If there’s no valid date there, it means no valid certificate is on record: either it never reached us, or it has expired, or it’s still under review.
- You can’t find the document, meaning the paper itself. You have that: we only have the digital copy, and we never took it. If you need a copy for another facility or for your doctor, ask whoever issued it: your family doctor, your pediatrician or the sports medicine specialist keeps the original in their records.
Who can issue it
- General practitioner (for their own patients)
- Family pediatrician (for their own patients)
- Sports medicine specialist / CONI
Check these three things before sending it
These are the reasons a certificate gets rejected, and they cost days:
- It’s issued by a sports doctor or by your family doctor
- If your family doctor signs it, it carries the stamp of the local ASL (health authority) with the regional code
- The certificate states “ECG performed on..”
If it has expired
Bookings are blocked: without a valid certificate you can’t book or get in (all the reasons for a block).
If you already have your medical appointment scheduled, there’s a grace period:
once the medical certificate has expired, the desk staff will enter a temporary renewal of 14 days. You’ll just need to stop by the front desk to activate it next time you come to the club.
The temporary renewal is entered by the front desk: in the app, the Certificate section keeps telling you the certificate is still to be handed in, and that’s right, because what’s needed is the final one.
ℹ️ Medical checks are not carried out at the club. Below you’ll find some medical centers in the area you can go to.
Validity
- Annual check
- Valid for one year from the date of issue
